NYC Guard Instructor Wanted

NYC Guard Instructor Wanted

As we continue to grow the Crimson Kings, we are seeking a guard instructor to teach and build a guard line in the heart of New York City's Chinatown. You must have a clean record and experience teaching youth groups ages 7 to 22. You should be a patient team player with initiative interested in assisting further development of national and color guard programs. You are enthusiastic, works well with youths, and loves everything there is to love about color guard and drum corps activities. You will be responsible for teaching a range of experience levels but mostly beginners, creating routines, and working towards developing a winter guard program.

After wrapping up last year's parade season with the Double Ten parade, we made it a point to freshen up room 408, or as most members call it -- The Office. We added a new couch for guests, parents and potential members to sit on. A large plasma television was donated to the Corps in which we mounted onto the wall. The biggest change though was replacing all the photos of yesteryear that had been hanging on the office walls for at least five years.

Return of the Horn Line

Return of the Horn Line

Ok, so they had never really completely disappeared. However, it wasn't so long ago that the horns that once owned the school's hallways were put away and untouched for a almost a year. The number of players had dwindled to nil. That was definitely not going to remain the case as we made a concerted effort to rebuild the proud horn line with the addition of current brass caption instructor Vincent Veloso.
