After an extremely successful Kickstarter campaign, we hit the studio on May 20th to record the first ever Crimson Kings album. We recorded at MSR Studios. It was an experience of a lifetime to record in a world-class studio like MSR. In the week prior to us using the facility, Bono and The Edge of U2 was there recording. Beyoncé was also there recording too! And recently Beatle's legend Paul McCartney was recording at MSR. Saying the Crimson Kings in the same breath as these music greats is quite unreal. The members worked their butts off and sounded amazing. After a long but productive 8 hours at the studio, we were able to record 12 songs! Now that the recording is done, we're in the process of mixing all the tracks with engineers Brian O'Neill, Dehran Duckworth, and Robert Mbotto Ray. In a couple weeks we'll be putting the CDs into production to be pressed!

The songs recorded were:

1-America 2-Simple Gifts 3-Be Not Afraid 4-Chinese School Song 5-Ode To Joy 6-When The Saints Go Marching In 7-Small World 8-Braemer's Highlander 9-Street Beat/Buckley Cadence

Also recorded, but will not be on the album, were renditions of the Taiwanese National Anthem and Jimi Hendrix's Foxy Lady!

The album will be called "Heart & Valor". This being our first professional recording, we wanted to record an album that pays homage to the CK tradition, history and future to come. All of this is tied together by the heart and valor put forth every year by every member of the Crimson Kings through the years.

In the meantime, check out pictures from our day at the studio! [gallery]
